Homemade Daily Shower Cleaner
Cleaning a shower has always been an unwelcomed chore. That is until I found this recipe that requires absolutely no scrubbing or wiping! That's right, just spray and let air dry. What could be easier? Just start with a clean shower, as this is a maintenance task--made easy!
Items and Ingredients Needed:
32 oz. Spray Bottle 1 Cup Measuring Cup 1 Tsp. Measuring Spoon 1 Tbsp. Measuring Spoon Funnel Hydrogen Peroxide - 1/2 Cup Rubbing Alcohol (clear) - 1/2 Cup Dish Detergent ( I use Dawn) - 1 Tsp. Dish Washer Rinse Aid - 1 Tbsp. Water - 3 Cups
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle. You can even make a number of batches if you have more than 1 spray bottle. Once you have added all the ingredients, screw the sprayer on hand tight. Do not shake the bottle as the dish detergent will suds up. A gentle rotating motion will do for mixing the ingredients.
Please start with a clean shower.
Immediately after you shower, you can start spraying the entire inside shower area while everything is wet and still warm. I spray all shower walls, shower shelves, shower doors, shower curtain, faucet and water handles and I even spray around the drain as this spray will dissolve soap scrum. There is no scrubbing or wiping needed. Just simply let air dry.
If you have a tiled bathroom, you may wish to omit the hydrogen peroxide on darker grout lines. White or light colored grout should not pose an issue. Hydrogen Peroxide is added as an additional sanitizer.
The rubbing alcohol acts as a disinfectant and sanitizer. You may notice the smell from the rubbing alcohol and decide you don't like the scent, but don't worry, the smell will fade completely as it dries.
This has been a game changer for me! I have started using this mixture on the bathroom sink and mirror as well. I hope you try this. Bathroom cleaning has become less troublesome and almost enjoyable!
