Baked Pork Chops and Apples with Brown Sugar Glaze
2 Apples, peeled and sliced 4 Tbsp. brown sugar 4 Boneless pork chops 1/2 Tsp. cinnamon Salt to taste 1/2 Tsp. nutmeg Pepper to taste 4 Tbsp. butter
Preheat oven to 350*. Layer apples in bottom of casserole dish. No need to pregrease dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Trim fat from pork chops. Lay on top of apple slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a small saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, stirring constantly. Pour sauce over pork chops and apples. Bake at 350* for 35 - 40 minutes uncovered.
Serve with sweet potatoes, stuffing or rice. Add a vegetable of your choice.
Tips: Swap out half of sugar with honey. Use whichever apples you like best. Switch butter with applesauce. You can also add chopped onions and chopped bell pepper.
